DEFEND THE DEEP

  Um mural pelo Oceano Profundon  

   a mural by the ocean 

This Sustainable Ocean Alliance microgrant project supported the creation of a street art mural in Lisbon intended to raise awareness about deep-sea mining. The microgrant recipients collaborated with the talented mural artist Gonçalo MAR to create this piece of activist artwork. The mural coincided with the United Nations Ocean Conference—which took place in Lisbon in 2022.
